Three Australian navy personnel have suffered minor injuries following a helicopter crash in the Phillipines

The Royal Australian Navy’s MH-60R Romeo helicopter conducts functional testing of the newly fitted Airborne Low Frequency Sonar System (ALFS) off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida.

Defence Minister Peter Dutton has confirmed the incident in an interview with 2GB radio station

Dutton says an investigation will be conducted to determine what exactly went wrong.

The aircraft was operating from the HMAS Brisbane as part of a regional presence operation, with the aircraft forced to land in the water as a result of the emergency.
