An investigation by Four Corners has revealed more about the work culture at music major, Sony

After the company was accused of silencing accusations of sexual misconduct, former senior staff have now stated that the company’s head office knew about the alleged abuse within the workplace but remained silent throughout 40 years.

Former Australian chief executive Denis Handlin was said to have ruled with fear and intimidation, covering up the alleged systemic bullying, discrimination and misconduct.

Four corners interviewed more than 100 current and former Sony staff who said they were treated like “puppets” with Denis “pulling the strings”.

Sony Music’s global head office have said they are looking into the “workplace culture” and maintain that Handlin had only left the company because it was “time for a change of leadership”.
