Trump supports Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang amid allegations of Chinese espionage linked to a data centre executive
Trump expressed his respect for Huang, describing him as a “great, brilliant person” deserving protection from the US.
At his Florida residence, Trump mentioned he was unaware of the details but wished for Huang’s well-being.
He indicated a preference for Huang to continue as an adviser unless investigations reveal otherwise.
Trump, however, acknowledged the complexity of the situation.

Espionage claims
According to The New York Times, US intelligence officials concluded that a Chinese executive had been funneling information to Beijing.
China has dismissed these reports as “groundless speculation”.
Huang, originally from Taiwan, has advised Trump on artificial intelligence policy.
He accompanied Trump on a visit to Beijing in May, meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Huang has also promoted the sale of Nvidia chips in China amid the country’s push for semiconductor advancement.
