As tensions continue in the Taiwan strait, U.S. and Canadian warships have been spotted sailing around the area

A U.S. Navy ship named the “Arleugh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Higgins” has been spotted in the Taiwan Strait conducting a “routine transit.”

[The transit] “demonstrates the commitment of the United States and our allies and partners to a free and open Indo-Pacific.”
