Prince Harry expected the January 6 Capitol Riots

Prince Harry has spoken out about the January 6 Capitol Riots, revealing that he expected them to happen

During the US Re-wired tech forum, the Duke of Sussex revealed that he spoke to the CEO of Twitter via email voicing his concern that the platform was not properly monitoring posts.

On the day of the riots, former US president Donald Trump tweeted allegations of vote fraud before a rally in Washington DC.

This fuelled the mob attack on the Capitol by members of a rightwing militia that call themselves The Proud Boys.

All in an effort to stop the official certification of Joe Biden in the White House.

This comes as progress is made in the January 6 investigation with a US judge refusing Trump’s bid for executive privilege and ordering him to hand over his presidential records to the House Committee.

The committee has rejected the argument made by Trump’s lawyers that telephone records, visitor logs and other documents should be hidden.

Meanwhile, the select committee has also issued subpoenas to 10 further Trump administration officials.
