The US and France have held joint discussions about growing political tensions in Ukraine

United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken and France’s Foreign Minister say they are concerned about “Russian military activity” in and “near Ukraine”.

The nation will buy another batch of Turkish drones for its armed forces next year.

Ukraine’s President says there are nearly 100,000 Russian soldiers near Ukraine’s border.

He says that Western countries had shared information about active Russian troop movements with Kiev.

It follows a string of meetings between US officials and France, following the AUKUS alliance.
