English football side, Manchester United have appointed Erik ten Hag as their manager

The Former AFC Ajax Coach will take over from interim boss Ralf Rangnick at the end of this season.

The Dutchman will start on a three-year deal with the club, which can be extended based on performance.

He will become United’s fifth manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

He says it’s a great honour, and is “hugely excited” by the challenges and opportunities.

But the role will not be without its challenges, the club currently sits sixth on the Premier League table.

United was recently knocked out of the Champions League, and lost to Championship side Middlesbrough in the FA Cup fourth round.
