Senior Israeli military officials state no pre-U.S. midterm election strike on Iran is planned unless missile launch preparations are detected.Israeli journalist Yossi Yehoshua reports that officials deny President Trump obstructed any attack, asserting none are being formulated.

Israel has increased its military alert status alongside U.S. readiness levels.

Plans for a potential attack on Iran by the U.S. and Israel are being prepared for early November, following the U.S. midterms, according to sources briefed on military strategies.

Military operations

Iran has indicated its readiness for any potential conflict.

Initial plans by Israel were to engage Iran in mid-October, coinciding with Israeli elections on Oct. 27, but were halted due to objections from President Trump.

The U.S. is reportedly positioning military forces in the region to be ready for an attack shortly after the elections, which may also act as leverage for a diplomatic resolution with Iran.

The U.S. midterm elections are scheduled for Nov. 3.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is campaigning on a platform that includes addressing the Iranian threat.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared readiness for both diplomacy and military action.

Araghchi warned that any attack on Iranian officials or infrastructure would prompt Iran to target U.S. interests and allies in the region.

The U.S. and Israel initiated hostilities against Iran on Feb. 28, resulting in significant casualties, including Iran’s supreme leader.

Since then, hostilities have continued without a ceasefire, escalating tensions over the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial global shipping route.

Iran has obstructed this waterway, attacking commercial vessels, prompting U.S. blockades on Iranian ports and oil exports.

Despite significant U.S. military strikes reducing Iran’s capabilities, it continues to pose a regional threat, targeting U.S. bases in the Gulf and Jordan.
