Heard lawyers will not call Depp back to witness stand

Published

on

Johnny Depp had appeared on a list of potential witnesses compiled by lawyers defending his ex-wife Amber Heard

Heard’s team decided not to call the U.S. actor to the stand as the defamation case enters its sixth, and final week.

Depp told jurors he never hit Heard and argues she was the abuser in their relationship.

He says Heard threw a vodka bottle at him in early 2015, severing the top of his right middle finger.

Under cross-examination, Johnny Depp’s attorney grilled Heard’s expert orthopaedic surgeon on his ruling of Depp’s finger injury.

A psychiatrist called by Heard’s team inferred Johnny Depp was gaslighting Heard throughout their relationship.

Depp appeared to chuckle when the psychiatrist started to discuss victim blaming.

At the start of the trial, many big names – including billionaire Elon Musk, and actor James Franco – had been rumoured to testify. But none showed.

Now, a source close to Johnny Depp says British supermodel Kate Moss will testify on Wednesday.

Earlier in the trial, Johnny Depp’s attorney Ben Chu appeared to celebrate with a fist pump when Amber Heard mentioned Kate Moss during her testimony.
