Frantic Brits ‘pretend to be disabled’ amid airport chaos

As thousands of Brits feel the brunt of airport chaos, many are turning to desperate measures to skip the queue

As reported by The Sun, some desperate travellers are “pretending to be disabled” to skip ahead of long wait lines.

Bosses from Birmingham airport say there has been a 20 percent increase in people demanding assistance.

In response, airports have ordered more wheelchairs.

An industry boss reportedly told U.K. newspapers that  “there should be a special place reserved in hell for people who pretend to be disabled.”

A travel insider says “if people are pretending it’s potentially stopping genuinely disabled people from getting a place, and that’s pretty grim but You can’t just say to people, ‘No, you’re lying’.”

It comes as widespread travel chaos hits UK travellers, largely due to staff shortages
