Anthropic’s IPO reveals a massive $120.5 billion deal with SpaceXAI, surpassing initial estimates and highlighting massive AI infrastructure spending spree

Initial reports suggested the deal could be worth up to $84.5 billion through 2029, but the new document reveals the figure is actually $120.5 billion, an increase of $36 billion.
The deal allows Anthropic to pay SpaceXAI that amount for access to compute resources powered by NVIDIA GPUs, with payments of approximately $3.1 billion monthly starting after compute delivery, expected by the year’s end.
Deal details
Anthropic may cancel the agreements with 90 days’ notice once the initial term concludes in early 2027.
The revised deal adds to the growing number of multi-billion-dollar AI infrastructure agreements in the industry.

Anthropic is positioned alongside OpenAI in this surge of investment in AI technology.
Additional commitments within the IPO prospectus include at least $114.5 billion in spending with Google through July 2033, $44.9 billion with Microsoft through May 2033, and $110 billion with Amazon through April 2036.
The release of this information marks a pivotal moment for Anthropic in the lead-up to its IPO.
