With a combined impact of higher interests and low demand for office space—is a slow-motion crisis brewing in the commercial real estate market?

In the United States many office workers have resisted going back to the workplace, leading companies to reconsider the amount of office space they need.

That in turn is sending valuations of office real estate investment trust and stocks of office landlords lower.

However, some experts say retail shops are a bright spot in commercial real estate.
