Leslie Jordan, the prolific character actor died at the age of 67 after a car accident on Oct. 24 in Hollywood.

The incident is believed to have been a medical emergency.

Jordan was known for his roles in Will & Grace, American Horror Story and Murphy Brown.

Following the tragic news, Hollywood is mourning the loss of an icon.

Jordan’s agent said in a statement:

“The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan.” Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times. What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner, and human being. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”

During the pandemic Jordan racked up millions of followers on social media–as he provided comedic relief during the global lockdown.

Throughout his illustrious career, Jordan appeared in more than 30 films and on more than 80 shows.
