Biden warns Putin against using nuclear tactics in Ukraine

Despite setbacks over recent weeks in Ukraine, Russian forces are now planning new attacks

Russia has widened its strikes in Ukraine, specifically toward Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, following setbacks on the battlefield.

Now, Russian forces are likely to expand its target range further.

Ukrainians who returned to the northeastern area retaken in Kyiv’s lightning advance earlier this month, were searching for their dead.

Five civilians were killed in Russian attacks in the eastern Donetsk region over the weekend.

It comes as U.S. President Joe Biden warns Russia’s Vladimir Putin against resorting to nuclear or chemical warfare as part of retaliation.

Biden has warned Putin of a “consequential” response from America any of these tactics are used.

However, Putin has vowed to continue his takeover of Ukraine. Speaking to reporters, the Russian leader has warned of intensified attacks.

The Russian leader says the “liberation” of Ukraine is the main military goal. After meeting with China’s Xi Jinping Putin said “we aren’t in a rush.”

Mass grave investigation

Ukrainian forces discovered a mass grave containing over 400 bodies in the city of Izium. Now, the Czech Republic have demanded a “special international tribunal.”

“In the 21st century, such attacks against the civilian population are unthinkable and abhorrent.”
