UNSW Professor Bill Bowtell has urged the community to roll up their sleeves and get vaccinated.

Bowtell, who appears regularly on Ticker News, argues there are many benefits to getting the jab – from work to travel.

“There is a push to get unvaccinated people, vaccinated,” the health strategist argues. “There will be two groups of people to emerge.

“There will be the vaccinated group (in New South Wales) who will be able to do more things, compared to people who are unvaccinated.”

Bowtell says people who aren’t vaccinated will get ‘clobbered with COVID Delta’, which can be a turn-off for many.

“You may get sick, go to hospital, and may be end up in ICU, or worse” he adds.

The UNSW Professor suggests people who do not want to get vaccinated need to look at the science, evidence and facts when it comes to vaccines.

“Vaccines work. They work to protect the people you work with, your friends and family,” Bowtell affirms. “They lower the risk of this thing getting out of control.

“People who are unvaccinated need to now apply themselves.

“Don’t listen to what is on the Internet – or the conspiracy theorists – but listen to the scientists and the doctors.”
