A recent survey conducted by Bankrate found that it’s harder now than it was just a few years ago for Americans to stash funds away for their golden years.

 
According to a new report from investment firm Vanguard, American’s retirement savings took a hit last year signaling a troubling sign for workers.

In 2022, the average 401(k) account balance for Vanguard participants was down 20% when compared to 2021.
