Streamer Hasan Piker has made a prediction that Kai Cenat will likely face a ban from Twitch for live streaming his giveaway event that turned into a riot in New York City.

The incident occurred when Cenat, who has 6.5 million Twitch followers, intended to give away gaming consoles in Union Square. However, chaos ensued, leading to his brief live stream on the platform.

Piker, with 2.5 million followers on Twitch, expressed his belief that Cenat’s actions during the event could lead to his banishment from the platform. He also emphasized his hope that nobody would get hurt in the process.

During the incident, a large crowd swarmed Cenat, chasing him and causing havoc by standing on vehicles and throwing objects, including construction materials. Cenat’s entourage had to protect him as they made their way to Union Square amidst the chaos.

As of the time of reporting, there were no immediate comments from Twitch regarding the situation. It remains unclear what charges, if any, Cenat might face, but there were reports of “numerous” arrests made during the riot.

Microsoft recalls ‘Recall AI’ feature over security fears

Published

Microsoft has announced a postponement in the release of its new Recall AI feature, citing significant security concerns raised during internal testing.

Pope Francis took charge of discussions on the implications of artificial intelligence for global ethics and governance, Reuters reports.

The pope said AI represented an “epochal transformation” for mankind, but stressed the need for close oversight of the ever-developing technology to preserve human life and dignity.

“No machine should ever choose to take the life of a human being,” he said, adding that people should not let superpowerful algorithms decide their destiny.
“We would condemn humanity to a future without hope if we took away people’s ability to make decisions about themselves and their lives, by dooming them to depend on the choices of machines,” he warned.
