Qantas reveals 2022 full yearly results amid ‘challenging’ time for Group

Qantas has revealed its full yearly results for 2022, and CEO Alan Joyce says it is an extremely challenging time for the Group.

The Flying Kangaroo reported an underlying loss before tax of almost $1.9billion, and a statutory loss before tax of under $1.2b.

Joyce says the Group has halved its loss compared to the last financial year and is expected to get back to pre-COVID levels of profitability this year.

The CEO also confirmed that the Board has asked him to continue in his role, to get it through the crisis.
