Activists say they were there to peacefully protest an “anti-trans” speech being made by Mark Latham

Two people have been arrested after protesters clashed outside a church in the city’s south-west, where controversial figure Mark Latham was giving a speech.

LGBTQI+ activists Community Action for Rainbow Rights claim members were attacked and pelted with rocks and bottles by a group who met them outside St Michael’s Church.
