Prince Harry has decided to attend the coronation of his father, King Charles III, alone.

His wife, Meghan Markle, will remain in the United States with their children.

The historic event will be held at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

A palace spokesperson confirmed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s long-awaited decision.

The coronation falls on Prince Archie’s fourth birthday.

Harry and Meghan’s delay in making a decision had reportedly been causing problems for organisers, with seating plans yet to be finalised.

Harry will also be absent from the Buckingham Palace balcony when his father, Camilla, Prince William, Princess Kate and their children appear after the coronation.
