King Charles’ ancestors were directly involved in buying over 200 enslaved Africans

New records reveal ancestors of King Charles were involved in buying at least 200 enslaved Africans.

The information establishing these royal roots were found by a playwright while she was investigating links between the Church of England and enslavers in Virginia.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson says Charles takes the issue of slavery“profoundly seriously”and has described it as an “appalling atrocity”.
