A Japan Airlines plane caught fire at Tokyo’s Haneda airport after it collided with a Coast Guard aircraft.

The airline confirmed that all 379 passengers and crew members were able to evacuate safely.

Despite rescue crews’ efforts to control the blaze, the aircraft continued to skid down the tarmac while on fire, as shown in live footage on public broadcaster NHK.

The Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the possible collision with the passenger jet.

According to public broadcaster NHK, five out of the six crew members of the coast guard aircraft are missing, while one managed to escape.

The Japan Airlines plane had departed from Shin-Chitose airport on the northern island of Hokkaido. Following the incident, a spokesperson for Haneda airport confirmed that all runways had been closed.

The airline official says all 379 passengers and crew evacuated safely.

A Japan Coast Guard official says six people were on board the other plane. It was preparing to fly to Niigata for earthquake relief.

The Tokyo Fire Department says one crew member evacuated and the remaining five have been found, but details of their conditions are unknown.

American home prices are rising at faster pace now than in the last 20-years.

A recent analysis reveals a jaw dropping surge in the cost of American homes.

Since the start of 2020, U.S. home prices have surged 47% easily outstripping the gains seen in recent decades.

On top of that, home price growth so far this decade is on the verge of surpassing all the growth seen in the 2000s.

Many experts believe this decade’s housing market frenzy was ignited by a perfect storm — the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering an unprecedented rush among buyers.
