The Iranian regime has rejected the U.S. response to its conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.Iran’s security chief, Mohsen Rezaee, stated that the U.S. reply was “insufficient.”

Iran proposed seven conditions during the UN General Assembly for normal maritime passage restoration.

Rezaee clarified that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed to the U.S. until these conditions were fulfilled.

The White House did not respond to media inquiries.

Rezaee mentioned that Iran is “no longer in the process of responding to the Americans.”

He noted that while some conditions were accepted, others lacked clarity.

Qatar has acted as a mediator, relaying messages between the U.S. and Iran.

Tensions escalated after a ceasefire collapsed in the Gulf, following U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran.

Iran stands firm

The Strait of Hormuz is crucial, carrying about one-fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas.

Negotiations continue, but Iran insists on strict adherence to its outlined conditions.

This development reflects broader geopolitical tensions in the region and ongoing U.S.-Iran relations.

China and Russia have expressed interest in the situation, supporting Iran’s stance on maritime security.

Iran’s position may impact global energy markets depending on future developments in the Strait.
