Deliveroo Australia has been placed in administration and the food delivery platform in the country will be turned off

The company has announced plans to place Deliveroo Australia into administration.

It’s part of the company’s “capital allocation” strategy.

Deliveroo says its Australian operations are not sustainable and will not be profitable without considerable financial investment.

The company said it would put forward a deed of arrangement to creditors, including severance payments for employees impacted by the move.
