We’ve been hearing about China’s property sector being on the verge of collapse. But now the buildings are actually falling down as well

 
The pressure on China’s property sector has been growing for some time, exemplified by the ongoing financial problems facing companies like Evergrande.

But now individual buildings are falling down in China too as they fall victim to what’s called Tofu Dreg, poor quality concrete that crumbles in the hands.

One of the most recent examples was a gym in Qiqihar where a roof collapsed, killing many girls inside who were at volleyball practice.

The Chinese Government has tried to downplay the issue, but how serious of a problem is this for them?

And will they be able to sweep it under the rug?
