Joe Biden’s re-election campaign has stated that it will not focus on the legal troubles of former President Donald Trump.

Cedric Richmond, co-chair of Biden’s campaign and a former top aide in the White House, emphasized the administration’s commitment to an independent Justice Department.

This comes as Trump faces four separate indictments, including charges related to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results, mishandling classified documents, and hush money payments.

Despite President Biden’s criticisms of Trump on various issues, he has refrained from directly addressing the legal challenges facing his predecessor. Richmond downplayed a recent fundraising post by Biden on social media, suggesting that it was unrelated to Trump’s indictment.
