The controversial figure makes an appearance to promote gender equality

Events around the world are using “embrace equity” as this year’s International Women’s day theme, but that’s not actually the right theme.

The annual theme is is decided by the U.N. during the largest conference for women.

The U.N. theme is “Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future”.

It is a much-needed push to address the gender bias in the tech industry.

However, many are celebrating the “embrace equity” theme .

This is being promoted by the website Internationalwomensday.com, delivered by an international advertising company.

The website states that International Women’s Day does not belong to any one government or organisation.

This comes as Gender equality organisation Fck the Cupcakes launched a bitterly-amusing campaign for International Women’s Day, that sees professional misogynist Andrew Tate appear to champion women’s rights.

Right now only 5-10% of IWD events are attended by men.

The campaign hub aims to get men inspired into action. #trending #Featured
