Audacity users are being warned the software may class as spyware

It follows recent updates to the audio editor’s privacy policy, which reportedly introduced a range of personal collection clauses.

The data includes user’s names, country and other “data for law enforcement, litigation and authorities”.

The company’s data is stored within the European Economic Area but is “occasionally required” to share personal data with their main office in Russia and external counsel in the US.
