Renowned actor and international sex symbol Raquel Welch has died at the age of 82.

According to reports, Welch had been suffering from a “brief illness”.

The actor became an icon after appearing in a deerskin bikini in the 1966 British film: One Million Years BC.

The movie received mediocre reviews, but Welch’s cavewoman image on the poster is part of cinema history.

Welch is a Golden Globe winner, starring in more than 30 films and some 50 television series in a career spanning five decades.

Born to a Bolivian father and an American mother, in 2002, she told the New York Times she was proud to acknowledge her Latino roots. #trending #featured
