Father now facing possible child neglect charges as investigation continues

How’s this for a close call.

This footage shows the moment a toddler picks up and plays with a loaded handgun in an apartment block, even pointing it at himself and pulling the trigger.

The incident occurred in Beech Grove, Indiana with neighbours quickly sounding the alarm and calling the police.

After arriving at the scene, officers searched the apartment where the boy was found living with his father.

They eventually uncovered a 9 millimetre pistol and arrested the dad.

He is now facing charges of child neglect.

Thankfully, the boy was not harmed, as the bullets were not yet chambered in the gun.
