High school teacher charged for allegedly sending nudes to a student

A teacher has been charged after allegedly sending nudes to one of her students

44-year-old April Viney is facing two charges with two felony counts of the dissemination of obscenity.

The online high school student claimed the teacher sent a nude photo and video to them.

Before her arrest, witnesses were interviewed and the teacher’s phone and social media accounts were investigated.

After posting a $50,000 bond she has since been released to her home.

Viney has been teaching since at least 2002 and has been suspended without pay.

She had been teaching English at West Iredell High School in North Carolina since 2019.
