Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger has slammed Donald Trump and his own party as the Mar-a-Lago investigation continues

Kinzinger says it’s hypocritical for his fellow party members to defend Trump after criticising Hilary Clinton for her previous private email scandal.

The comments come just days after a judge ordered the FBI to release a redacted version of the affidavit used to justify the search on the former President’s home.

This document revealed Trump held classified material at Mar-a-Lago, with government officials working for over a year to try and take them back.

Documents returned include 184 marked as classified, with 25 of these considered top secret.

Kin-zinger says it’s time for the Republican party to take these allegations seriously.
