Prince Andrew’s military titles and royal patronages have been returned to the Queen as the Duke of York prepares to face trial for sexual assault allegations

Andrew will also stop using “His Royal Highness” in any official capacity.

A source close to the Duke says the royal continues to deny the allegations and will defend himself against the New York case.

The matter is being brought forward by Virginia Giuffre and follows the recent guilty verdict of disgraced socialite Ghislaine Maxwell.

A judge in New York ruled the case could continue… after the prince tried to have it dismissed.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace says: “With the Queen’s approval and agreement… the Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned…

 The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen”.
