Putin says Ukraine conflict “looks like genocide”

Russian President Vladimir Putin says the conflict in eastern Ukraine “looks like genocide” as tensions continue to escalate

This follows Putin and US President Joe Biden holding urgent talks to try and meet common ground, as Ukraine fears a Russian invasion.

US intelligence services are warning the Kremlin is preparing for a multi-front offensive… as early as next year, with some 175,000 troops.

During the talks, Biden “voiced the deep concerns of the United States and our European Allies about Russia’s escalation of forces surrounding Ukraine”.

The administration has made it clear that the US and its allies will respond with both economic and other measures “in the event of military escalation”.
