Camera upgrades

A variable-aperture rear camera system may debut on the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.

Previously, Apple iPhones featured fixed-aperture cameras which kept the lens fully open during image capture.

A variable aperture could improve photography by adjusting to light conditions.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo corroborated that a variable aperture would be included back in 2024.

Rumours suggest colour options for the iPhone 18 are shifting this year, despite the successful burnt orange colour in last year’s iPhone 17 models.

Macworld reported that “Dark Cherry” will replace the cosmic orange colour.

In addition to dark red, choices like light blue, dark gray, and silver may be available.

There are suggestions that black will be eliminated from the iPhone 18 Pro.

These changes aim to attract customer interest when the product launches in September.

Expected release

The iPhone Fold may overshadow the iPhone 18 during its announcement, with fans waiting eagerly for the new phone to tackle Samsung’s flagship phone head on.

The full details will be released at the upcoming event in September.
