Ukrainian forces have struck the Russian-occupied area of Melitopol in southern Ukraine

Reports Ukrainian forces have hit the Russian-occupied area, causing several Russian casualties.

Explosions were seen billowing out of Russia’s military HQ, the home of the Wagner Mercenary Group.

Reports from both Ukrainian and Russian officials confirmed the missile strikes hit the city.

Russia’s acting governor of the region claims the attack “completely destroyed” areas where “people, civilians, and military personnel” were based.

Ukraine’s former administrator of the city confirmed Russia had turned the area into “one giant military base.”

“The Russian military is settling in local houses they seized, schools and kindergartens. Military equipment is stationed in residential areas.”
