The new purple “spokescandy” is a peanut M&M designed to represent acceptance and inclusivity
Purple joins the other classics like Red and Yellow.
Mars says the character’s “charm and quirky nature” comes from her “keen self-awareness, authenticity and confidence”
Mars redesigned its M&M characters earlier this year after facing criticism for Green’s sexy characterization
In announcing Purple, Mars put out an ad with the character singing an original song, “I’m Just Gonna Be Me.”
Mars says one dollar from every stream of Purple’s song will be donated to a nonprofit arts company.

A Dominican Republic family has dug up their dead grandma after 10 years
The late Margarita Rosario was dug up at La Colonia Cemetery in Jarabacoa, where her family found her relatively intact.
Ms Rosario had a full head of hair and enough bones to stand without support.
Footage from outside the cemetery showed a man holding the corpse up while a woman dressed her in a white gown.
Local residents expressed shock over how well the body had been preserved.
The family was reportedly moving their dead relative to a nearby cemetery.

Zelensky beat out other finalists, which included Chinese President Xi Jinping, the US Supreme Court, Iranian protestors and Twitter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
The leader had inspired Ukrainians and was recognised internationally for his courage and resisting the Russian invasion.
Time’s Editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal revealed how the team get together to come up with the eventual winner.
