Britain’s most notorious prisoner up for parole

Britain’s most notorious prisoner Charles Bronson is pleading for freedom in a chilling new video obtained by Sky News, as the criminal’s parole trial approaches

Bronson has spent almost 50 years in jail, and says he has made ‘exceptional progress’ as his solicitor urges the judge to show his client mercy and grant him a pardon.

Bronson was initially sent to prison for seven years for armed robbery back in 1974, and has been behind bars ever since, except for two brief periods.

In 1999, the felon took a teacher hostage in Hull Prison and pulled him around with a skipping rope around his neck for two days, earning him a lie sentence.

In June 2020, a High Court ruled in Bronson’s favour, ordering his upcoming parole hearing to be held in public in the interest of a fair trial.

At 70 years old, Bronson says he’s never murdered anyone and questions why he’s still in jail.
