Seven people dead in suspected arson attack in South Korea

A suspected arson attack has killed seven people in the South Korean city of Daegu.

An explosion led to a fire in a law firm located nearby the city’s District court.

At least 46 people were injured with police now investigating the event believed to be an act of arson.

A man in his 50s who is believed to be the main suspect died at the scene with CCTV footage showing him entering the second-floor office with materials.

There are reports the suspect had filed a complaint at the lawyers office just before the incident occurred.

Over 150 firefighters were deployed to the office building, extinguishing the blaze within 20 minutes.

The majority of the injuries sustained were due to smoke inhalation.
