NATO Secretary General meets world leaders at Munich Security Conference

As transatlantic relations reach this critical point, leaders convened at the Munich Security Conference.

NATO’s Secretary General met with US Vice President, Kamala Harris, using the opportunity to stress the importance of strong alliances and thanking America for its commitment to NATO.

Harris says the US and its allies stand by promises to impose ‘significant and unprecedented’ economic measures against Russia if it attacks Ukraine, while also confirming support for Ukraine wherever necessary.

Speaking with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the Secretary General praised the nation for leading recent contributions to strengthen the Alliance.

Meanwhile, European Union Commission President, Urusla Von Der Leyen hopes “diplomacy has not spoken its last word”

Ukrainian President Zelenky has also spoken, urging for one unified body.
