NATO and the United States have made a stark warning to Russia, warning that the Kremlin will pay a high price for any new military aggression against Ukraine

This comes as the Western military alliance met on Tuesday to discuss Moscow’s motives behind positioning troops near Ukraine’s border.

This comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin also launched a counter-argument, warning his nation will be forced to act if NATO placed missiles within Ukraine.

Ukraine is a former Societ republic that is pushing to become part of the European Union and NATO as well.

This has sparked renewed tensions between Russia and the west with many analysts believing they are at their worst level since the Cold War ended.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has also spoken about the ongoing tensions saying “any renewed aggression would trigger serious consequences.”

NATO’s Secretary-General saying Russia will pay a high price for any force they use against the independence of Ukraine.
