FBI finds human remains in search of missing fiancé Brian Laundrie

For the first time, the FBI names Brian Laundrie person of interest in murder of Gabby Petito after human remains and items of interest were located at the Carlton Reserve in connection with the search for Brian Laundrie

Officials say “partial human remains” have also been found in the area where police discovered Brian Landrie’s belongings.

The suspected human remains were found in an area previously underwater, the FBI said.

Sartosa County Medical Examiner and a cadaver dog have been called to a park in Florida after items of clothing belonging to Brian Laundrie were discovered

Laundrie is the fiancé of travel blogger Gabby Petito who was found dead in a national forest in Wyoming on September 19, near where the couple had last been seen together.

The murder suspect initially cooperated with the police investigation before going missing.

After a brief search of a trail that Laundrie often frequented, law enforcement and family members found several items belonging to the missing man.

Authorities will now begin a more thorough search of the area, and follows an extensive search for the man which has stretched over a month.

The park where the articles were found is on 160 acres of a heavily forested nature reserve.
