US R&B singer R Kelly has been found guilty of sexually abusing women and children over two decades

The trial took place over six weeks, with 11 women taking to the stand to describe the violence and sexual assault they experienced at the hands of the singer.

R Kelly was found guilty on all counts, with the jury delivering their verdict after two days of deliberations.

The court will sentence Kelly on May 4 and it’s expected that he will spend decades in jail

During the trial, prosecutors presented to the court that the accused used his fame and fortune to lure in individuals by promising them successful music careers.

Several of those who took the stand testified that they were underage when the abuses took place.

Kelly was sitting silent in court whilst the charges were read out, with his facial expressions covered by a mask.
