The Nintendo Switch has sold 89 million units – now making it the 7th most popular video game console of all time.

This puts it ahead of both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The news was announced as part of Nintendo’s sales report.

However, the Switch still has miles to go before it surpasses the sale of the Wii or Nintendo DS which has sold 154 million unites globally.
