Woman shot by police officer after opening fire
A woman has been shot by police after opening fire in a Texas airport
The 37-year-old was dropped off at Dallas Love Field terminal just before 11am, before going to a restroom and emerging with a handgun.
Witnesses describe the individual coming out of the bathroom in different clothing to what she arrived in, before she started shooting.
An officer managed to shoot the woman in her “lower extremities”, and she was taken to Parkland Hospital.
Officers are unsure where she was aiming, but no other individuals were injured in the incident and it is not considered an active shooter situation.
