Her extensive career spans various sectors, including the Aboriginal community, public service, and corporate realms, positioning her as a formidable advocate for Indigenous education.

For over a decade, Dr. Lois Peeler played a pivotal role at Aboriginal Tourism Australia, co-authoring the groundbreaking Respecting Our Culture accreditation program, which transformed the Australian tourism industry’s approach to preserving Indigenous cultures.

Her remarkable contributions have garnered well-deserved recognition, including her appointment as a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia in 2014 for her outstanding service as an educator, advocate, and role model in the Indigenous community.
