Former President of Sri Lanka, Gotabaya Rajapaksa has officially resigned

Rajapaksa has left his job as Sri Lanka’s President after fleeing to Singapore and escaping the chaos engulfing his nation.

It’s believed the former leader wanted to stand down once he left the country. This is in case he was arrested under the next administration’s rule.
