Republicans cop a fine for defying mask mandate

Three house Republicans have incurred $500 fines for breaking a rule requiring masks in the House chamber.

Seven others have been issued a first offence warning, according to a Capitol offical.

The fine rises to $2,500 for a third offense which is unlikely to deter future infractions from the right-wing lawmakers.

Out of the 10 lawmakers punished only one of them has received the vaccine.

Biden urges calm after election upset
