Lab-grown and plant-based proteins emerge as solutions to looming global protein shortage

The world’s population is expected to hit 10 billion by 2025. The global demand for protein is also forecasted to increase by up to 80% over current levels.

There are rising concerns that there will be a global shortage of protein-rich foods because of global reliance on animal proteins.

In response to these challenges, innovative solutions such as lab-grown and plant-based proteins are gaining traction as sustainable alternatives to meet the growing demand for protein-rich diets.
