Polish border forces use tear gas against migrants

Published

Polish border forces have used tear gas and water cannons to prevent migrants from crossing into the country from neighbouring Belarus

Migrants have been throwing stones and other objects back in retaliation against the authorities who are preventing their entry.

Thousands of individuals remain trapped in “no man’s land”… between Poland and Belarus… with neither side allowing entry or re-entry.

Belarus has been accused of trying to push migrants towards the Europe to create conflict and destabilise the EU.

Relations between Belarus and the European Union have been at an all-time low over the past several months following the re-election of Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko.

More than 5-thousand migrants have attempted to cross the border from Belarus to Poland this month… compared to just 88 for the whole of last year.
